GORILLAS
IN THE MIST SAFARI" Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Mosa Hotel in Kampala (BB) Day 2: Leave Kampala after breakfast heading southwest traveling through Masaka, Mbarara and crossing the Equator line taken as the most beautiful scenery in Africa and the world. Stop in Mbarara for Lunch, Thereafter drive down the escarpments of Kabale and take the breathtaking sights of the hills of the region dubbed the little Switzerland of Africa. Overnight at Buhoma Homestead surrounded by the calm and charming lovely insect songs . Full board. DAY 3: After breakfast, we proceed for the morning briefing before we embark on one of the most exhilarating experiences in life. We go on a Gorilla trek which may last the entire day. These gentle giants are highly endangered and anyone suffering even the slightest of ailments including a cough will not be allowed to go this trek. When the gorillas are sighted, visitors will be guided to within 6 meters; you will be allowed to sit around these animals for a whole hour gazing into their big round eyes. These giants are so powerful and can sometimes weigh up to 250kilos. Pictures with non flash zoom lens are allowed to be taken. We return to the camp longing for a good night's rest . Full board. DAY 4: We set out early morning walk through beautiful forest grasslands as we head towards the breathtaking adventures of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park . We relax mid morning as we take in the majesty of our surroundings. Heading to Munyaga water falls. After lunch, we go on a guided tour looking for the many bird species available here. More than 230 different species of birds have been sighted here. We return to the camp to get plenty of rest for the day. . Full board. DAY5: After breakfast, we set out on a 4 hour drive to Queen E.N.P driving through Ishasha sector in search for tree climbing lions, topi, water bucks and buffalos, You are driving through the queen E.n.p till you are in Mweya your Hotel for lunch and cool down your long drive. After lunch you go for a launch along the Kazinga channel see the hippos and other wildlife cooling themselves off on the bank of the channel thereafter back to your hotel for overnight and dinner. . Full board. Day 6: We set out early in the morning after breakfast and go on a game drive in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes etc. We visit the Kasenyi sector famous for it's solitary buffaloes. We have an excellent chance to view just about every animal here at very close range. We return for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, we set out to visit the Baboon cliff and the crater lakes north of the park. We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight rest . Full board. DAY 7: Early breakfast and set off heading to Kyambura wildlife reserve. Here we will be able to track the chimpanzee in the tropical rain forest. We hike into the Kyambura river gorge as we search for the chimps. The beautiful river valley is home to many species of birds and butterflies. Thereafter drive 5-7 hour journey back to Kampala and transfer to the airport. Number of People Include: Accommodation, meals, park fees, Gorilla permit, chimps permit, launch permit, transportation in 4x4 safari vehicle, open roof for wildlife viewing, air condition, enough leg rest, enough baggage space and services of driver/guide.
